NN Investment Partners appoints head of alternative credit
Niels Bodenheim will oversee asset classes such as corporate debt, residential mortgages and commercial real estate lending

Niels Bodenheim has been appointed as head of alternative credit at NN Investment Partners (NN IP) as of January 13 2020. In his role, he will be responsible for overseeing the Alternative Credit platform consisting of asset classes such as corporate debt, residential mortgages, commercial real estate lending, ECA/government loans, and infrastructure debt/project finance with assets under management (AuM) of 40 billion euros (US$44.6 billion).

He will report to Valentijn van Nieuwenhuijzen, chief investment officer at NN IP.

Bodenheim joins NN IP from bfinance, where he held the role of senior director – private markets. In this role, he was responsible for private debt, overseeing the company’s credit research services such as direct lending, real estate and infrastructure.

Prior to this, he spent 14 years at GE in various executive roles across GE Capital including Mubadala GE Capital, GE Corporate Finance Bank and GE Healthcare Financial Services, based in the UK and US. Bodenheim holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and International Business from Penn State University.
