First Sentier Investors has appointed Miranda Poon as the director of institutional business on its North Asia distribution team, reporting to Lauren Prendiville, managing director and head of distribution, Asia.

Based in Hong Kong, Poon will play a pivotal role in growing the firm's institutional business in North Asia covering sovereign wealth, central banks, insurance companies, endowments, government entities and consultants.

She has over 20 years of distribution and client management experience in the asset management industry and has represented a number of quality institutions over this time. 

“Poon brings with her extensive regional experience and an outstanding track record in financial services,” Prendiville says. “Her strong institutional client network and in-depth knowledge in the industry will be of great value to us as we continue to provide quality offerings and expand our North Asia institutional businesses.”
