French bank BNP Paribas has appointed Cynthia Tchikoltsoff and Stephane Gaboriaud, respectively, as head and deputy head of global trade solutions, transaction banking (TB), Asia-Pacific.
Tchikoltsoff, who is currently based in Hong Kong and will relocate to Singapore to take up this new responsibility, will report to Chye Kin Wee, the bank’s head of transaction banking for Asia-Pacific.
In this new role, Tchikoltsoff will oversee the growth of the bank’s trade franchise in the region, which covers traditional trade and supply-chain financing for multinational corporations and Asian corporates.
With over 15 years of experience in supply-chain management, Tchikoltsoff was instrumental in the establishment of BNP Paribas’ Asian supply-chain business. She also leads the bank’s sustainability initiative for transaction banking in Asia-Pacific, supporting the commercial acceleration and continued development of its sustainability offering.
Stephane Gaboriaud, who is based in Singapore and will report to Tchikoltsoff, joined BNP Paribas more than 18 years ago, and has held various positions across Europe and Asia-Pacific. He will continue to lead and develop the traditional trade franchise across the Asia-Pacific region.
“Global trade is facing significant changes in recent years, from supply-chain disruption due to the pandemic, digitalization in trade processes, and demand in incorporating sustainability in supply chain,” Wee says. “Tchikoltsoff and Gaboriaud have strong institutional knowledge and extensive client experience, and they will help to lead the way in offering customized solutions that meet the evolving needs of our clients, particularly in digitalization and sustainability.”
