Guotai Junan teams up with Bloomberg to support global push
Chinese securities brokerage seeks to enhance visibility in global markets, optimize data infrastructure
The Asset 18 Jan 2023

Guotai Junan Securities has formed a strategic collaboration with Bloomberg to support its global expansion plans.

The Chinese brokerage will explore adopting Bloomberg’s data offerings, trading technologies, risk management systems, and environmental, social and governance (ESG) solutions across the business.

Guotai Junan believes the US financial information group will provide it with better access to global financial networks to enhance its visibility in global markets, optimize its system and data infrastructure, and achieve higher cost efficiency through integrated trading workflows.

“We would like to work with Bloomberg to seize opportunities in the two-way opening up of China’s financial markets and construct a solid, deep and new model of collaboration as part of our ‘open securities’ ecosystem, making the most of our comprehensive service platform, leading digital technology and robust compliance culture,” says He Qing, chairman of Guotai Junan Securities.
