Investment management firm Capital Group, which has assets under management of approximately US$2.2 trillion, has appointed Katharine Dryer as the equity lead of its Europe and Asia client group, reporting to Alexandra Haggard, the group’s head of asset class services.
In this newly created role, Dyer, who will be based in London, will focus on expanding the firm’s equity distribution strategy and product development roadmap to better serve institutional and intermediary clients across Europe and Asia.
This news follows the recent appointment of Scott Steele as fixed-income lead for the Europe and Asia client group. These newly created roles are part of the firm’s strategic drive to increase its footprint in Europe and Asia by further enhancing its distribution capabilities for equities and fixed-income products in both regions.
Dyer joins Capital Group with more than 25 years of industry experience. She was most recently deputy CIO at Jupiter Asset Management where she held a number of key roles over a near decade tenure. Prior to that, she looked after multi-asset client strategy and held various senior positions at BlackRock. In addition, her past experience includes Morgan Stanley Investment Management and Deutsche Asset Management.
“Dyer will play a crucial role in building out and executing our equity commercialization strategy,” says Andy Budden, the firm’s investment Director. “With her deep distribution and investment expertise, she will be pivotal in helping our clients build more resilient and diversified portfolios.”
