Bank of America has appointed Gautam Puntambekar as its country officer for Malaysia, with responsibility for heading all of the bank’s operations and entities in Malaysia, including acting as CEO of Bank of America Malaysia and principal officer for Bank of America Labuan branch.
Puntambekar’s more than 25 years of banking experience across cash management, trade finance, commodities and corporate banking in India, Singapore and Southeast Asia, giving him, the bank notes, extensive knowledge across the spectrum of banking products and services. He has established excellent relationships with major multi-national companies and financial institutions during his tenure in India and Singapore.
In his previous role, based out of Singapore since 2012, he was managing the regional multi-national’s coverage team (corporate banking subsidiaries), covering clients with pan-Asia presence across all industry groups.
