Deutsche Bank picks new head of distribution-TFFI team in Asia-Pacific
Veteran banker Sebastien Avot ran the bank’s distribution operations in the Middle East
The Asset 24 Feb 2020

Germany’s leading bank, Deutsche Bank has appointed Sebastien Avot as head of distribution & credit solutions and trade finance for financial institutions (TFFI) in the Asia-Pacific region.

Avot, who has over 15 years of syndication, distribution and financial institution coverage experience in the debt and loan markets, will report to Guy Brooks, global head of distribution & credit solutions, and Russell Brown, global head of trade finance for financial institutions, and Atul Jain, regional head of trade and lending for Asia-Pacific.

Avot joined Deutsche Bank in 2010, working for the distribution team in London, and most recently in Dubai, where he ran the bank’s distribution operations in the Middle East and Africa, significantly building out its capabilities in the region.

The appointment, according to Brooks, will allow Deutsche Bank “to continue to grow its distribution and TFFI franchise and explore alternative ways of de-risking our trade finance business”.
